During the webinar, Patrice Vastel spoke about barriers that hinder access to medical care and humanitarian assistance for the most vulnerable, and about simple tools that can boost inclusion in MSF projects. Habiba Ali-Amin highlighted the situation of persons with disabilities
in humanitarian settings and reflected on the role of the association in making MSF more inclusive. Sónia Mairos, Jesse Verschuere and Lucy O’Connell shared their experiences working with forgotten groups and gave practical examples of how to enhance inclusion through community engagement. Marc Biot linked inclusion to the broader operational reflection (you can see his presentation separately - in the video below). Finally, Myroslava Tataryn brought an external perspective to highlight the benefits of inclusion for quality of care, local partnerships and diversity of workforce. Following the presentations, we opened the floor to questions.
